Location: North Dorset
Type of Project: Renovation of a Grade II Listed
INKSPACE have recently been involved in the renovation of this Grade II Listed home, located within in a beautiful village in the Dorset Countryside.
Set in a prominent, elevated position in a quaint Dorset village, this 19th Century home is being carefully restored back to its former glory. The stunning red-brick, double fronted house occupies a street frontage position and enjoys a stunning courtyard garden to the rear.
INKSPACE have worked closely with the appointed Heritage Consultant, Forum Heritage, the North Dorset Local Authority Conservation Officer and the Client, to achieve Listed Building Consent for a sensitive and appropriate scheme for the restoration of this Grade II listed home. It is proposed that the modern, internal division of the kitchen is removed, alongside the re-location of the family bathroom at first floor. The fabric of the building will also be upgraded where required, with special attention paid to the beautiful windows and internal features.
The project is due to begin on site over the next couple of months and we can’t wait to see the results.
Lauren guided me through the minefield of Listed Building Consent in a professional yet understanding way. It was creative suggestions that achieved solutions beyond my original remit. I would have no hesitation in recommending Inkspace.
