Part II Architectural Assistant / Newly Qualified Architect

INKSPACE are currently looking for a Newly Qualified Architect or an experienced Part II Architectural Assistant to join our team. The right candidate must have a design flair and a love of residential architecture. Excellent communication and presentation skills are also essential.

You will be an integral part of our close-knit team, delivering projects from the initial creative design stage through to completion.  This is an ideal opportunity for an Architect looking for an involved role on challenging and interesting projects, across Dorset and Hampshire.

The successful candidate will assist with a project portfolio that includes; one off houses, extensions, barn conversions and the renovation of listed buildings.

A strong comprehension of the RIBA Work Stages and good technical knowledge of construction, detailing and writing specifications is essential, as well as experience with UK Building Regulations. Proficient English language skills are also a must and the ability to communicate well with clients and consultants is desirable. For Architects, site experience would be advantageous.

The correct candidate will need to have design office experience with demonstrable skills and a strong aptitude in architecture.  The candidate must be self-motivated, capable of meeting deadlines and working as an individual or part of a team. They will also have:

  • Good knowledge on Vectorworks and Sketch Up.
  • Experience of Adobe Creative Suite would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Hold a current UK driving licence
  • Have a good knowledge of current Building Regulations and UK construction detailing, to be able to produce working drawing packages.

Salary will be dependent on experience and in line with RIBA guidelines. Interviews to commence immediately. No agencies please.
